Counting consoles I’ve owned or played a decent amount at the time of generational change, gauging from my interpretations of console generations, I’ve been through six generational changes. not including the unreleased Xbox Series/PS5.

Atari 2600/Colecovision -> NES/Master System -> SNES/Genesis -> Saturn/PSX/N64 ->

My god, this shit has gotten so out of hand, I actually had to do some serious research when I wanted to buy certain games when they where on sale in the PS store, because I couldn’t tell which one was the one with ALL the content, which of course doesn’t has to mean it’s also the best deal, because often some of the

Phoning it in is what you’re going for.

No, it isn’t. That statement is saying that if you buy Spider-Man: Miles Morales (on either platform, it doesn’t matter), you can later pay $20 to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition on PS5 and get the remastered version of Spider-Man (2018). The remastered version of Spider-Man (2018) is only available to people who buy

You would think that Sony would have learned from pre-Spencer Microsoft that the ‘if we can get away with it, let’s screw em out of cash or just apologize later’ business model doesn’t work.

My decision on whether I’m getting the PS5 at launch (or as soon as possible given lack of preorder) hinges on the upcoming election. I’m more willing to shell out $500 for a toy if I think the world’s gonna end within a year.

That’s just for the Miles Morales, not the base Spider-Man.

Kind of annoyed that there’s not even a $10-$20 path for PS4 owners, at a time when MS is knocking it out of park with the XSX launch, Sony really seems to be dialing it in on the PS5. Getting both still, but this is not a good look for them.

Play has no limits.*

I hesitated to give your comment its 70th star.

All I know is that I have a PS4 and a first gen 3D tv, so I have no need for 4K consoles.

Super Princess Peach 2?! Now with all new types of emotions, as well as immersive gameplay and player feedback using HD Rumble!

I thought Super Hornio Bros. 2 was just a reskin of Doki Doki Literature Club.

To be honest, the in game universe’s decision to put the Raft right off the island of Manhattan, the most populous area in the world was probably a bad idea. Sure not bad for normal criminals, but the Raft is specifically for super villains too dangerous for real prison.

The Miles game is clearly DLC that Sony said “no, you need to make this a full game, we need a launch title.” Maybe they added more busy work to the game to pad the hours, but it won’t be enough to justify full price, which is why Remastered is being tacked in to the full price version.

What I want is for Insomniac to rename Spider-man: Remastered. It’s not remastered, it might be upgraded (ray tracing? bigger crowds? who knows) or even re-released, but it definitely isn’t remastered in any sense of the word. The game was originally mastered for 4K viewing back in 2018, so I HIGHLY doubt they’re

Because Microsoft is doing it for their games. Gears 5 is getting updated for the XSX and XSS at no additional cost to the consumer, along with other games. Also, PS4 Pro patches were for some games that old as well. So when you factor in their competitor is doing and they were already doing with their last console

It seems a lot like the Control controversy to me. Your most loyal customers who bought the game full price and paid for the DLC separately are rewarded by...being asked to pay again for the upgrade, while those who waited 2 years get it for $20? I get it, older games cost less, but it seems really crappy to do it
