I came here all ready to be like “what even is this review?” But, as far as how it feels to control at least, yeah, something about it (in the main game, anyway) is definitely off. 3D Land felt much better. It definitely has that “it shouldn’t be anywhere near this hard to jump on enemies in a goddamn Mario game” feel

My picks have got to be Streets of Rage 4, Star Wars Squadrons, Resident Evil 3, and Huntdown.

OH FUCK YES THE TIE DEFENDER AND B-WING ARE EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN HOPING THEY’D ADD!!

There are 2 currencies, Requisitions which unlock the upgrades and Glory (I think that’s what it’s called, the one whose icon is a star) which unlock the cosmetics. Leveling up gets you some of both, and they said the level cap is set so you get enough to unlock every upgrade component, but the challenges from what

Yeah, there’s a major bug where if you die at certain unspecified points - because who hasn’t died the first time they tried to fight a damn star destroyer, right? - the tutorial will just stop loading and you won’t be able to kill the star destroyer. I spent a good 2 hours on it destroying literally every targetable

Normally being October now I’d be doing another run through RE2 or 7, or maybe finally get around to replaying Alien Isolation.

I’ve never rooted so hard for a virus in my life.

So...they took the one modern version of Spider-Man that refreshingly wasn’t perpetually stuck as a school-aged child and...made him look like a school-aged child now.

A good followup to Rogue Leader is all I’ve wanted out of Star Wars for the past, what, 18? years, so yeah.  Friday can’t come soon enough.

No, they’re (clearly) saying that there’s no way to get just the upgraded Spider-Man, you can only get it if you buy the fake ass imposter “spider-man” bullshit. And since the Miles parts were far and away the absolute worst part of the last game, there’s no way in hell I’m spending money on more of that, which means

Damn, I was really hoping to hear more on Axiom Verge 2.

Jesus, this is fucking horrendous.  Whoever designed this should be fired, immediately.

You know, one might say that a game revolving entirely around puzzle based fights having the need for an option that is “show how to solve all the puzzles” speaks to a fundamental, abject failure in the game’s design...

Nah, changing your armor takes like two seconds. And I don’t think I’ve ever once bothered to change my charms because once you have Inari and Amaterasu nothing else matters, and the effects of the minor charms are so minuscule that they might as well not even be there.

You mean as has always been the case with every new console generation in all of gaming ever?

This game is so fucking rad.

Movement is absolutely great, though the aiming sensitivity could stand to be turned down quite a few notches. It’s obvious that it’s intended for a mouse instead of a stick. You get used to it, though.

Makes you think they’re wrong.

I was going to say the exact same thing.

I’m super glad I never heard of Carrion until last week, because as soon as I saw it I was instantly psyched ALL THE WAY UP for it and any longer of a wait would have been really rough.
