Abby Wambach would probably be an even better candidate, but since I don’t see her on the list, Hope Solo looks like the best of the bunch

This is a dumb move to compensate for a dumber move. Eli’s benching was bad because it gave the appearance that he was being blamed for the losses. But the damage is done, so why not take the opportunity to evaluate your future QBs?

Come to the Jets, Eli, we have candy and fidget spinners for you to enjoy!!

“Remember, Gurley, when Jared Goff shouts out “X”, that means he’s gonna give it to ya”

Huh, I would’ve thought the saddest story involving miscarriages would’ve come from the Giants’ run game.

Jim Tomsula did his best he could by teaching every 49er to catch their own pigeons at Levi stadium for meat/blanket stuffing, but that takes YEARS of practice.

“Hurrr our QB has been good for 15 years and is now bad.”
“That’s OK, durrrrr, we’ll just get a new one in the draft to get us through the next 15 years!”

At least give Eli his starts, man. McAdoo is gone this year, and you have no real chance at playoff contention. Can the 2x Super Bowl MVP at least play out his 14th year?

It’s easy to get laughed at when you get the last laugh. He’s now a starter for the Broncos with a few million dollars more than the Broncos offered.

I think anyone who felt the need to possess narcotics on Jan 20th 2017 in Washington D.C. should be given a pass, honestly.

We might as well get used to the question now, because if Weinstein gets prosecuted, that may well be his defense.

It definitely is, but the assessment is not strictly mathematical. “80% Kluber” can still make batters chase pitches “100% Carrasco” can’t. “80%” can mean 80% pitch count (fine), 80% curvature (borderline) or 80% velocity (bad). At some point, a manager just has to make an estimate that’s not strictly by the #’s.

It’s a great question, and I think the answer is that sometimes you just don’t know how much “playing hurt” will affect your game.

Listen, if it looks like a pirate and wanders like a pirate, and talks like a pirate, and wears a shirt with the word “Pirates” prominently displayed...

What does Jeter do for the Marlins franchise? Here’s a clue: co-owner Bruce Sherman never came up after the first sentence of this article.

The irony is that this is the healthiest politics I’ve seen in a while. A solid analysis, and I walked away convinced that the author was right without feeling the opposing side was comprised of monsters. Great work!

Maybe holds should work in a similar way to charges/blocks in basketball. An OL has a right to his space, and can hold a DL if he runs into that space, but if the DL is going around that space, the OL can’t grab him.

McAdoo’s comment wasn’t wrong, but it was tactless. He could have said “I trust Eli to call for time, it didn’t happen, but hey, it was risky even without that mistake” and it would’ve projected so much more confidence

Schwartz protected Tom Savage pretty well! They should put HIM on the O-line.

- These Watts sure are high-voltage players!
- They’re not just used for physical power either. In fact the Watts are a couple of bright bulbs.
- These two kids are looking to be real jewels over time!
- The Watt’s on-field talent is a product of both force and speed!

Don’t forget to tip your waiters, folks.
