They’ve been attacking Democrats as socialists for the entirety of my adult life, and while I, personally, wish that were in any way reflective of reality, I think fewer and fewer people find it the scare line it used to be. 

THIS. I am all in for Bernie, and hope he is the nominee, but I literally keep that very very quiet because I don’t want to be confused for the assholes that are clogging up my social media feeds with their insults towards anyone who dares to suggest we “vote blue no matter who” or backs another candidate. 

The right has beaten the socialist trope to death with every democrat in the last decade or more. It is silly to think it will somehow become this awesome weapon it never was before in this election.

I feel like the suggestion from winning a primary against a moderate Dem, though, is that they generated more enthusiasm, and it seems like grassroots support is important to keeping the party…

Saying it now: Biden is not my preferred nominee. Biden is still a whole hell of a lot better than Trump, and I will gladly vote for Biden over Trump.

It really is something to see a bunch of establishment, third way Democrats, who have overseen some pretty stunning losses of power and influence, panic because a couple of viable candidates are *gasp* reviving a brand of New Deal populism that saw Democrats wield at least some significant amount of power in one form…

She actually probably is a pretty good person to make this argument given that a lot of the voters who might be inclined to not vote for the Democratic candidate are also inclined to take her seriously. I’m not sure what a factual thing she said a few weeks ago about the weirdness of the two party system has to do…

I agree, just for the love of God, do not make me have to go into a voting booth and fill in a square next to Michael Bloomberg.

The only way I would not vote for the Democratic nominee is if I thought that person was going to be worse than Trump. That’s not going to happen, so I’m voting blue.
