Yeah as someone with little interest in the source material, the issues with Slytherin and the many other ethical issues in HP mostly seem to stem from the over-stretching of what is a heavily formulaic setting purpose built for a specific story.

Amen. Most durability haters misunderstand that the system is functionally pushing the player to do the same thing that traditional loot systems accomplish. Both are forcing the player to engage in some micro-diversity in gameplay that introduces just enough variation to keep combat feeling fresh. Dying Light…
Man, I was not a fan of a lot of the media he was in (Fringe and Destiny in particular), but his presence always elevated my enjoyment despite that. Cannot imagine what 2 major games franchises that utilized him as an ongoing character are going to do.
Been thinking about the “marketing” behind that little indie title Bob’s Game from 2009ish a lot recently.
What is the reasoning on Youtube’s part to not include what needs to be changed in their report?
Horizon owes more than a little DNA to Monster Hunter, a series partially defined by its multiplayer. It’s not shoehorning if the inspiration already relied on it.
Man I was hoping they were gonna announce this, and damn does that trailer make the mechs look mean as hell.
I mean, that’s unintentionally what the save batteries of older cartridges are.
1000% agreed, its especially frustrating in the case of the Bayonetta 3 story, but make no mistake, it was irritating as hell before that as well. Especially in the list articles documenting the best games of each console that get updated periodically. It is worthless trying to discuss or ask questions in those…
As you kind of pointed out, that inventory style basically exists in-game already as the store interface. It can accommodate any amount of items, seeding it with information from the players combined inventories shouldn’t be hard to do.
As someone who has not played the game since the patch, I’m not concerned that the inventory update weakened my player, but does it actually fix what was one of the worst inventory systems in existence?
Chalice dungeons would certainly have helped DS3, though personally I really didn’t care for DS3 in general. Chalice dungeons would have probably just been lipstick on that proverbial pig for me. They’d suck a few more hours of engagement from me, but not enough to incentivize the kinds of time I dedicated to BB or ER.
Admittedly that is much less a concern in ER where the very nature of the open world allows you to wander off into another corner of the world at-will, but I agree all the same. Chalice dungeons were a great way to let you easily engage in side-content when the main campaign got a bit hairy.
Ashes being tied to changing a weapons scaling is certainly a neat idea, but it’s a static system with no incentive to go hunting for that perfect gem. I’d argue Whetstone Knives are more or less just the embers of Dark Souls though.
This is the first October since I got Bloodborne in 2016 that I’m not doing a playthrough, and only because I’m knee deep in a number of other titles at the moment.
The ouroboros of “X sucks/X is underrated” got sick of the Star Wars prequel trilogy and is now nibbling at Avatar.
I had a witty rebuttal to this article, but I forgot what film we’re discussing by the time I scrolled down to “reply”.
Don’t get 3, just get RF4.
Good. If Nioh 1 and 2 are any indication Team Ninja knows exactly how to make intricate, mechanically deep titles without stretching their resources thin on secondary needs.
Ultra Instinct Shaggy is big chungus or the KFC dating sim all over again. People just lapping up corporate memes like brand approval is meaningful validation.
