I understand and respect your perspective NeutronStar73 and agree with it, especially the different camps. I was also in the “scene” at the time. From my viewpoint even those with money didnt pick the supra as their first choice, if they did have the money it was either a 300ZX (with lots of JDM mods) or it was a BMW

but I have long held it’s the ENGINE not the car as the reason they are so revered.

Huh? The GT-R has a long race history that started back in the 60s. Its performance is literally the reason why it earned the nickname “Godzilla”.

This take and the Supra take are both correct. It’s not that Supras and Skylines are bad cars, just that they are absolutely 100% not the end-all-be-all so many people make them out to be.

Your privilege is showing. Stay comfy in your golden tower.

Well he can always get a job in America.

I think its less to do with assuming genital sizing and more to do with -IMHO- the kind of boring and monotonous association with bro-dozery trucks, including some of the new “factory” dozers and the fairly predictable kinds of men who drive these things. I think just about anyone who sees one of these knows who is

I’m going to jump on the “No-Tesla” bandwagon. I truly applaud what they have done as far as innovation and growing a company from a small niche brand into a mainstream competitor, but the lack of quality surrounding that technology is pretty appalling. I’ve seen nicer interiors in Dodge products.

Kind of competitors in that they are both large sedans, Honda Accord and Dodge Charger:

Highly possible that the Leaf/Model S examples in this study were that age or close to it. Point remains, I’d be curious what the attrition rate is for driveline components in general for EVs vs ICE.

You absolutely can, I got a 2010 with 165k miles for 15 even, albeit that was right before Covid kicked off

Three-time 4Runner owner here. Yes, they run a long time but a 1990 with 150,000 miles on the clock is not “just getting started in life”. A 2015 with 150,000 miles maybe, but not a 33-year-old truck. It’s like saying a 69-year-old man is just getting started in life because he hasn’t traveled much.

I can get lots of nights at the Hilton for this price ND

woulda never happened if he’d just sprung for the optional Thule rooftop cargo-box with optional side-mounted canoe rack. - this is the kinda shit that can happen when you half-ass it.

Lucky for him he is headed to a body shop.

I just can’t believe that the kick-ass bush bars and awesome light bar on that Land Rover didn’t keep him safe in the snow. Who could have predicted this epic fail in such an awesomely manly vehicle?

It’s just the drivers that are the real problems. They come in 2 styles, left lane under the speed limit hoggers, or super aggressive lane weavers, there’s like no in between.

OK, I just have to disagree with the Prius hate. My girlfriend has a Prius. And I’ve driven it quite a few times in various types of driving- traffic, freeway, alone, with her, etc. And you know what? It’s fine. Does it take a little getting used to the fact that the throttle response is tuned to prevent you from
