I agree with this assessment 100%. I even used the word “overwrought” in my comment below. So many creases, bulges, textures, and patterns. It’s like they had too many cooks and said “no” to none of them.

This has to be one of the most over-wrought automotive designs I have seen in years. And not surprising at all from GM. There are so many lines, shapes, textures, and motifs, the eye has absolutely no place to rest or make sense of any of it, both in the exterior and interior styling.

I would totally drive a Speedster replica, though in the northern climate, a hardtop 356 would probably be more practical.
