Like the Thunderbird, the Lincoln LS was built on the Jaguar S-Type platform, which was under Ford’s “Premium Automotive Group” ownership at the time. The LS had completely generic and forgettable styling for an early 2000s luxury sedan.
The 2002-2005 Ford Thunderbird definitely did the “retro revival” thing poorly, using updated 1960s styling (by design) yet somehow also looking outdated for a modern car.
