The 50 superheroes blog post got ridiculously blue, but it was very clearly written in a facetious tone, and was in line with the “theres no such thing as bad taste” style of shock humor that Gunn came up in at Troma. You don't have to think it's funny, but the person he's continually presented himself to actually be

And yet the entire article refers to him as David

Pretty sure Gunn and Rooker were already friends before the first GotG, he appeared in both of Gunns prior films, and Gunn referred to Rooker as his “good friend” when he was explaining on twitter why film Yondu had a much smaller fin on his head than comic Yondu.

Um, “Davie” Bowie?

I’m aware, I still think it's stupid.

One of my all time favorites, and the first thing I recommend to someone looking to get into superhero comics.

Only slightly tougher, he’s not actually bullet proof for instance, that’s all in the scale armor he wears

Which I mean, really isn’t that the greatest hero of all when you think about it?

Best joke I ever heard when they first released pictures of him as Aquaman “They’re going to be clearing up a common misconception of the character, his powers are actually that he can telepathically communicate with every member of Phish”

Batman probably has a batboat somewhere to help out

NO

ummmmm

Well, it’s clearly shown here that Superman relents at the prospect that he would mentor Billy, Robin has Batman, Superman’s best friend, as a mentor and basically father. It’s probably a point of contention between them behind closed doors, but as a whole Superman seems to be ok with it, and has a sort of “fun uncle”

This looks a whole hell of a lot like Mark Millar’s Superior, the last thing worth a damn to date that he’s written, which is weird seeing as that was also sort of playing off a lot of the tropes of Captain Marvel, just with a bigger emphasis on well, what this trailer looks like, the movie Big but with superpowers.

Yeah, Cranston was literally the only character in the film with a clear motivation, and seeing as we didn't get nearly enough monsters punching each other scenes, we desperately needed some interesting human drama, which Cranston was providing up until they killed him off 45 minutes in and we got stuck with his block

The stilted, "I'm literally just reading this off the script" line readings?

Looks cool, but man is that some atrocious acting from Vera Farmiga

I still really like the one where Dib and Aim turn into bologna, just because that seemed to be the entire premise of the episode and it delivered on that bizarre fucking conceit. I also love when Zim has to deal with the lunatic mall security guard.

They’ve already recorded the dialogue, Richard Horvitz had just wrapped on it about a year ago when I met him at a convention, he said fans of Jhonen Vasquez' edgy comic work, and the pitch black humor of the original show will dig it when it comes out.

He was there the whole time!
