It’s a new trend among Japanese developers (and one with roots back in stuff like the Monkey Island remasters) where studios are taking their triple A games and giving them a fresh coat of paint, as seen with the recent Yakuza Kiwami games and the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 remake

The last Colossi is a gigantic fucking pain, so I’ve never beaten it either, but I’ve seen the ending cinematic and experienced the game myself up to that point. It was so bizarre that they picked that point in the game to make the platforming completely unfair

They could easily have done it like a Directors cut DVD seeing as the same map was planned to be used for the extra Colossi, just have, when you’re starting the game a little toggle for if you want to play the original game with updated graphics or the “special edition”

Yeah, but you aren’t buying an unopened copy to play the game, you’re buying it to set in a closet somewhere and collect dust. I can also guarantee that even the rarer games, CIB have never gone for that much unless it’s a collectors edition since those were a rarity in those days so were scarce even at the time.

Pretty sure it’s Theroux, seeing as he has top billing and Rockwell does not.

When the fuck was Ico ever going for that much? The game was constantly on sale and filling bargain bins during the PS2 era. Hell, when has any CIB PlayStation 2 game gone for that much?

I’m a little disappointed this remake doesn’t seem to be adding the extra Collossi that Team Ico had originally planned to put in the original game before realizing they couldn’t because of the systems limitations

15 hours, for a game that is basically an artistic experiment, compared to something like Braid, is what I would consider a “Beast”. The game also had items that switch up the gameplay built into the original game with the rewards for time attack mode, I’m just suggesting it might have been nice to have little things

I get Rockwell and Justin Theroux confused all the time too

Eh, Jones is two for three as far as I’m concerned, and I think it says something that his only bad movie was intended as a massive blockbuster tentpole, there is no way he had final say over anything in that movie.

I get that, that’s why I love the more artful experimental indie games that only last around 5-6 hours at the most. SOTC is a fucking beast of a game unless you’ve already played through it a couple times and know the ins and outs so you can just kind of speedrun through it. If you’re asking me to invest a bunch of

Moon was a movie that made us take Sam Rockwell seriously as an actor (the “I want to go home” scene breaks my heart every time) and was filled with all kinds of kooky weirdness, so the trailer works for me seeing as this is the spin-off/spiritual sequel to Moon. I say bring on the fucking weirdness!

I really liked Source Code and the heady sci-fi concepts that the ending introduced that you just don’t see in modern sci-fi (The idea that Gylenhaal could potentially just continue to create alternate universes over and over again is a wonderful sci fi idea to end the movie with)

Jones has said multiple times that the movie takes place in the same universe as Moon and is part of a planned series of films set in that near future universe, so...nice job researching that one AV Club. Also, I am so fucking on board for this, Jones never should have directed Warcraft as there was no way he could do

It can be two things

Example: I personally have BDSM and rape fantasies, it’s an abnormal sexual urge and one I struggle with (I have difficulty climaxing without at least imagining some form of sexual deviance or violence) that doesn’t mean I’m going out into the world and kidnapping and raping women and it doesn’t mean I hate or devalue

That says cure, that doesn’t mean there aren’t treatments, there’s no cure for hundreds of other mental illnesses, but we aren’t advocating locking those people up. In a perfect world we’d still have psych wards and institutions where these people and others affected by mental illness could be monitored and helped

There actually are treatments available to people with those urges, and it is clearly a mental illness issue. The problem is the societal stigma against those urges that leads to these individuals to seek out other outlets for their urges instead of seeking out and receiving the psychiatric help they need. There is

I still wish SOTC was maybe a bit more fun to play, it was always a beautiful game, but sometimes i want to have fun playing a game instead of feeling like it’s some kind of chore that I’m supposed to forgive because it’s memorable or artistically rich

Considering anything that wins a Grammy these days that isn’t “Spoken word album” is horrible fucking garbage, and everything nominated is horrible fucking garbage, I know this guy is full of shit because there’d be no difference between him giving a grammy to a woman who makes bad music or a man who makes bad music,
