I interpreted “We will see” as “I’m still holding out hope they won’t actually carry out their plans (that affect me)”. Maybe I’m just cynical after reading an article with similar sentiments expressed by his supporters.

It might be worth looking up networks/orgs specifically for survivors of csa, see if they can point you towards good therapists in your general area.
