Glad to meet you! I’ve been missing passionate writing since a couple of previous writers left; your message resonates with me!

I’ll check it out, honestly thought King’s Field was a 3rd person but I might be mistaking it with another one of their old rpgs

Wow...that trailer is amazing! Makes me wish From would do a First Person action game. How hard is it now to make this work on PS4?

Na, I get how you feel. I have the same problem with a bunch of JRPGs that has come out recently.

Is dumbing down not an adequate word for simplifying something? The point is that I’m curious what the game designer have in mind in term of challenge, and I like to experience his/her idea rather than have one tailored for me, if that makes sense. by “dumbing down”, I mean going away from an intended challenge/vision

Dunno if we’re a minority; and I’m a bit tired of people thinking it’s a pride/esteem thing than just loving to be challenged. Eager to play Death’s Door, too!

I’m a bit confused about the difficulty/challenge thing. First off, Solar Ash isn’t even the same genre, so I’m unsure what’s the point of comparing them. It’s been multiple times now that Kotaku compared HLD and Solar Ash’ difficulty and I’m not sure what I’m supposed to understand. I -loved- HLD, and to be honest, I

I mean, you got aroused by a silhouette, a voice, or something other than somebody’s touch or a real life body at least once in your life...right? Even smell can be arousing; it’s not such a long shot to believe drawings can be.

We get aroused by books and there’s not even 1 god damn stimuli, visual or sound; it’s

The Netflix movies (there are 3) are pretty good imo; The anime really haven’t aged well, and the recent one (anime/cgi) is good, but kind of low quality in its production, I’d say. It’s still kind of good and you should expect an absurb level of gore on some parts

This, so much. FFXIV really do love us too

It’s watered-down. Also, FFXIV does not offer much for theory-crafting or even for anything stat related. You grind for ilevel or cosmetics.

So, no skill tree, no stat points, no abilities on gear, etc. Pretty much just your job(class) level, your base stats and some negligible secondary stats.

It’s a great MMO crafted

Only gets “faster” past level 70, sadly. Dragoon get long-ass combos and you gotta weave-in jumps, buffs and off-gcd attacks in-between. It’s pretty sweet.

I definitely started FFXIV for the franchise and being able to play on controller. I ended up staying for the music and the feelings.

Not sure how to word it, but FFXIV loves you and respect you in its story and world building. There has been really touching scene where it is obvious that what is being said is to the

Where are you at? I mean, if you like it now, I can’t fathom how excited you’ll be later on XD

It feels slow until you hit 70 or max level, definitely. At max level, even with the 2 / 2.5 seconds GCD, it feels pretty great considering all the stuff you gotta think about in your rotation. FFXIV is pretty punishing dps-wise if you slow down. You’re pretty much always doing abilities and finding ways to stay in

Sad but true, anything below max level is pretty boring gameplay wise in FFXIV for anyone that is good in MMORPGs in general, especially with how much they streamlined classes lately.

If you wanna give it another try, you’ll definitely have to try endgame stuff. The slowness goes away, but having to sink so much time

I tried it and couldn’t get into it; I can’t tell if it’s me not loving it, or the game just being a mediocre arpg... It certainly did not feel like adults were the target audience to me.

A bit mindblown that they messed it up

It doesn’t do “nothing”. Ever get that itch that you could just reduce the difficulty mid-way and then feel like shit? I do. Not having that choice available is really freeing for some of us. I can focus on trying my best and improving and struggling rather than constantly feel dumb for not playing on an easier

It’s super popular even mainstream, but yeah, not as many players.

I’m not sure if you’re being intentionally ironic or not
