Agree with most of what you said, however you missed a key point - The current version of Ducati is following the Porsche line of thinking. Porsche was built on the 911 just as Ducati was built on superbikes. However, Porsche is basically printing $$$ thru SUV sales, just as Ducati is with the Scrambler and Diavel.

Depends which part of him hit where. A doing that much damage with your shoulder / hip will hurt a lot, but isn’t life threatening. If his head hit there, or he hit wrong and it caused his head to get whipped around causing a neck injury, that’s Very Bad.

Having 3 engine options, each with two transmission options (manual / auto) = 6 different engine configurations. That’s not inconceivable.
