It’s very snarky humor, but not mean and a bit absurd. There is a large amount of blood and gore in a more comical way like Evil Dead 2. It’s easy to watch and really fun if you’re cool with horror comedy. (Say a cross section of Supernatural / Ash vs Evil Dead and Modern Family / Parks and Recreation)

A lot of people think it’s mediocre but it made me laugh my ass off. She and Timothy Olyphant are really funny together.

I watched the first season, and it took a few episodes to really grab me. Usually if something doesn’t grab me by the end of the first episode, I just peace out, because there’s too much shit to watch to stick with something meh, but I like Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant (hello, silver fox, come into my den plz)

I loved it. It’s so delightfully weird. Each episode is like a Sour Patch Kid. Slightly sweet, slightly sour (or odd), but it works. It’s also super easy to breeze through and the episodes tend to end on surprising notes, which makes you want to watch the next ones.

Just started watching it, totally random. I thought the first few episodes were fine, then around the fourth I felt it got pretty good. Haven’t finished the season yet, but so far I’d give it a tentative recommendation (the gore puts me off slightly). It’s kind of like if you mixed Weeds and Dexter together, but with

i liked it. it’s a cute show that zigs when you would expect it to zag. overall i’d give the first season a B+ and i’ll definitely be watching the second season.

My wife just started watching it last night and seemed pretty pleased to have found a new show she likes. (She is a fan of a very wide range of sci fi, if that helps you narrow down whether you might like it.)

Watched the first four episodes last night. Definitely worth watching.

I watched about half the first season.

I thought it was funny/cute!

I hadn’t heard any aspects of this story ahead of time and the only thing that legitimately surprised me was that there was a second season of The Santa Clarita Diet.

I just started watching it and it’s very entertaining!

I didn’t really get it. I watched 2.5 episodes and I was out. The premise is cute and funny but the humor felt forced and really sitcomy. Honestly, I thought Barrymore was the weakest link in this. She came off like a really bad actress. I couldn’t decide if it was her or the writing.

It’s a wonderful little show. Doesn’t take itself too seriously and everyone seems like they’re having fun. It’s charming. I’m hesitant to recommend it TOO much, because too-high expectations ruin many a good thing—but it’s good.

It’s very funny. I’m now warm for Timothy Olyphant’s form because of it.

I really liked it.

AV club has a couple write ups on it... seem positive.

Following because I am also interested.

Or, she could have had an assistant write that tweet. <adjusts tinfoil hat>

“The hardest thing to reconcile is that just because you have good intentions, doesn’t mean it’s your time to have a voice,” he said.
