Huh. I don’t really agree but then I have a knee jerk attraction to the funny one in any group.

I would add, though, that with regard to number 1, the girlfriend does often have a significant personality trait. Extreme moral idealism. She is often the person who gets up on her soapbox and explains to the hero why he is wrong and what he’s doing is wrong and what he’s wearing is wrong, wrong wrong.
“Partially I think cause male writers ideas of what women want and possibly fears of the guy not looking manly enough if he is being saved.”
There are quite a few female heroes in film and television. There are fewer significant others. I can only think of three, Major Lilywhite, Steve Trevor, and Riley Finn. Well them and Gabrielle, but she was also a sidekick so I’m not sure how much she counts since I’m not counting all the female heroes who have a…
Major Lilywhite, and Steve Trevor as well!
“7 Reasons Why It Sucks to Be a Superhero Significant Other.”
Wasn’t he replaced because Amell is working on his movie career and didn’t want to sign on to a 22 episode/season television series?
I must be the token soccer-mom with a crush on Chris Evans who actually DOES know who FitzSimmons is, then...
(edit: Although having read further into the thread it looks like there are actually enough of us to form a club. Huh. Go figure. Stereotypes aren’t infallible.)
I’m a huge fan of The Railroad 100% because Deacon is the most interesting companion. Well, that and the ballistic fabric perk. That was an awesome surprise. Now I’m running around in armored summer shorts and I look amazing!
Dang, you had a very fitting 52 stars until I came along and screwed that up for you.
“On Gotham, a Show Ostensibly about Batman”
I loved it. All of it, but it left me supremely annoyed that Jessica isn’t going to appear in the Luke Cage series.
My favorite part was Ike throwing Mike & Ikes into Brian’s mouth, albeit I disagree with Finch that the green ones are much better than the red ones.
They’re already cutting Captain America and Ant Man. If they cut Matt Murdock too the show would feel like it was filmed in a bottle.
I agree completely. I think this is how the Death creature gets to be the Big bad of the season.
dave-i09: He threw the gun away because he’s used the last bullet trying to deflect the death crreature away from Simmons. While I think he definitely *is* on his way to going mad throwing the gun away was not an indication…
She didn’t though, until she gave up on going home so I was okay with it. She stayed true to Fitz until she felt he was lost for good.
He’s no kicked puppy. He’s man enough to love her without needing her to validate his feelings by returning them in exactly the same way.
My point is that he doesn’t look or seem old enough and that might have been negligible if the actor himself actally was, but he isn’t.
Feh. His unconditional love for her makes him the most interesting character on the show, IMO.
But but but...Cap doesn’t wear chainmail. He wears scale mail. (/armorwonk)
