So wait...you’re telling me that Supergirl’s human name is Kara Danvers? That sounds a bit familiar...if only I could place that name...the similarity is simply marvelous.....

2 years seems pretty recent to me since I started bugging them for captions every time I called customer service since I originally signed up for streaming. Which IIRC, was around the time they started offering it.
Never noticed, but I watch almost everything with subtitles on.
No. They only very recently started offering closed captions. Hopefully they're working on it?
Made it through 11 episodes on Friday but had to start all over today so my daughter could see it.
AND I FALL FOR IT EVERY TIME!!!!! *SOB*
Awesome! We have a weeping angel tree topper and my daughter spent a lot of the holiday arranging any ornament that had eyes in such a way that it would be looking at the top of the tree. And also spent a good deal of time staring at it herself. This would make her plotz!
Nah, my argument consisted entirely of, "But Starbuck is a guy!!!!! *foot stomping* *breath holding* *arms crossed* ... that level of discourse. Not even remotely mature, I admit, but better IMO than many of the arguments I saw and I saw a fair number of the "emasculated politically correct feminazis gone wild"…
I don't think it's fair to summarize the objection to a female Starbuck as misogyny. Personally, I loathed the idea because Starbuck was the major crush of my childhood and I wanted as close to a repeat of that as possible. I changed my opinion the MOMENT I saw the pilot, but up until that moment I was appalled.
I think the major error in your argument is the assumption that only gay men would want to see 2 men kissing. It's as erroneous as thinking that only gay women would be interested in seeing 2 women kissing. Now, I'm not one of the people who is "in" to two men kissing, it simply does nothing for me, but I found that,…
Honestly, the moment that Vox Day appears on your ballot you have lost any credibility as a meaningful award.
The spin off should obviously be called The Brave and the Bold. LOL
Nah, Angelus was the Big bad in season 2 and Spike was the bad guy who helped save the world who wasn't even supposed to survive past the organ being dropped on him. Angelus never came back to Buffy and Angel left shortly after reappearing. Neither was ever supposed to be a Big Bad again.
Aw! I loved Salem all the way through. Sure it was cracky and bad but it was the entertaining kind of bad, IMO., and not the Heroes kind of bad.
Honestly he should never have come back after the 1st season. If Buffy has taught us anything it's that after a Big bad is vanquished you need to move on to a different Big Bad. The moment I found out he as going to be back in season 2 I knew the show was going to go off the rails and fall flaming down into ignominy.I…
I listen to catch the words Brit actors drop but when they do it makes me giggle so I don't know if complain would be the right word. Aiden Gillan's accent is not one of the best, though. Honestly there weren't a ton of decent Baltimore accents in the Wire from either British or US actors. Kathy Bates killed one in…
Really?!? As a rule I will watch everything the CW airs that is genre (plus Hart of Dixie, which is my ridiculously OTT guilty pleasure) but Star Crossed became so bogged down in it's homage to Romeo and Juliet and was so poorly acted at times that it became a chore for me to watch.
But I *WAS* watching and I agree, it is awesome.
I think she meant both (I thought you meant David Anders), but I felt the corrupt cop storyline was even more transparent than who was behind the zombie outbreak and will probably end up being the season Big Bad. Again, partly because of the stunt casting, albeit his last big role was a *good* vampire up until the end…
I called it based on who the actor was. I have yet to see him play anything but the culprit since his Alias days.
