It's been a while since I gratuitously self-promoted my writing on my blog, so why don't I do just that tonight?? Here are some new editorials and reviews I've written up recently!

The Daredevil costume in Season One I felt was…decent. Not great, especially when compared to the minmilastic but intimidating ninja outfit he wore for much of the season, but it's solid enough and I'm glad they retained the red coloring from the comics. I was hoping a costume update for season 2 would make it a

I feel like Sienna Miller is trapped in these sort of roles where she's just playing the wife and gets nothing of substance in the screenplay to work with. Look no further than her turn in American Sniper, which gave her no depth or personality in the story (which made her underdeveloped character really awkward when

HAYLEY ATWELL FOR DOCTOR WHO

That post doesn't make any sense.

SELF PROMOTION THREAD

Since this movie stars Freddie Highmore, I guess this is as good of a place as any to air out my frustrations over Tim Burtons Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

I feel like these shorts would be better if they were longer. Fiery incentive???

Y'know, as a film critic myself, I really feel like Nicolas Cage actually brings up some extremely good points here. In order to gain pageviews and the like, a lot of film reviews nowadays do tend to take an approach to their writing that puts sensationalism above actual analysis. Now, it's not like this sort of

Believe you me, the rebooted NerdInTheBasement will be hip, edgy and in your face.

There are several moments in The Avengers that never fail to make me laugh.

On an unrelated note, I'm in charge of picking what news pieces become Newswire articles today.

I'm not sure there are enough NerdInTheBasements in the world to get this bad boy funded.

I'm just gonna let my nerd flag fly here and say those card backs on those action figures look excellent! I want action figures of Finn, Rey, Captain Phasma and Kylo Ren something desperate!

That cancellation time seems a little generous considering it's airing on NBC.

And then they'll all be replaced by Mads Mikkelsen as Dr. Hannibal Lecter
