So GoT is about stuff? I thought it was just some faux-medieval crap about a bunch of privileged white people fighting each other for power, with dragons and rape thrown in on the side.

Or, you could make an alt-history where white oppression is even worse than it is now, and use that to actually examine how fucked up their actions have been and the consequences everyone experiences to this day.

Somebody should save all these stupid articles so we can laugh at them when Confederate turns out to be a wildly popular hit for HBO with a raft of Emmys and everyone in the South hates it.

Does HBO produce those shows?

This is really the sole legitimate criticism of this premise that I’ve seen: that it becomes implausible as automation advances.

This show looks like a winner. Especially compared with the crap that broadcast is touting right now for the fall.
