How many Americans even know any “folk songs”? TV jingles ARE our folk songs. And that list just goes to show how today’s shows don’t measure up to a grand, epic song like the Gilligan’s Island theme.

Voyager has the best opening sequence of all the Star Treks but it’s the worst series, go figure. Seeing that opener makes me sad, wishing the show had been worthy of such a soaring and grand introduction.
