And the GOP has been trying to make that worse. Privatising as many companies as possible so they can price gouge the fuck out of you. (USPS anyone?) Less taxes for the rich. Trying to destroy the environment because they know their money will keep them safe anyways etc...

The problem is that police isn’t just running down rioters but also peaceful protesters. They have shot someone coming back from grocery shopping in the head with rubber projectiles. They aimlessly pepper spray anyone, including bystanders, uninvolved people and children. And they’re also shooting people on their

Ok, hold on, I hate Musk as much as the next guy, but let’s not start spreading false information. Your Tesla won’t get blacklisted from OTA updates because you had it fixed at a 3rd party shop.

It probably will. Not for clapped out beaters, mind you, but a slightly used car in good condition will be an alternative to buying new for some people and that will drive prices up.

Just take it away and auction it off or something.

That’s just the immediate penalties he faces.

Even a shakedown run doesn’t make it totally safe, at least not at 10pm when there’s still plenty of traffic.

While it might be badly calibrated, even a 30% deviation would still put him at over 130mph. Most charges would stick even at that speed.

There is a chance the kid just took the car without asking. Or maybe the dad didn’t think his kid was a person to do something like that.

Until some moron pulls out in front of them and they are all killed.

I tend to agree, although there is one more point to consider. On the Autobahn, people that aren’t idiots know about the faster drivers and take a really good look back before changing into the left lane. There are people that don’t, and accidents happen, but it works pretty well.

That’s probably the most difficult part about the autobahn. You feel very safe in a decent car at high speeds nowadays, so the hard part is forcing yourself to pay attention.

I don’t think there would be many recoverable parts to put in the coffin. A normal car crashing at these speeds would basically explode.

Yeah, race cars are reinforced to take impacts like that and have totally different seats and belts. Just because most racing drivers falling off on pikes peak survive doesn’t mean you would survive that in a normal car.

Switzerland isn’t that horrible actually. Most people know where the cameras are, so you see quite a bit of speeding. You can easily go 5 over everywhere and 10 over on the highways because of the tolerance and speedometer inaccuracy. The most annoying thing are speed cameras hidden behind a corner in pointless 60kmh

Here I am I Switzerland with no race tracks...

Yeah, I don’t think making fun of people that died due to a bad design decision is very nice.

Uhm, what the heck is he thinking?

Oh god, cars in Paris. Seeing a new TTs with bashed in bumper just from parking makes you very sad. Every single car there is damaged in some way.

Yeah, very nice!
