A Night at the Roxbury - one lead becomes a huge box office star, the other is Chris Kattan

Tara Reid, from Robert Altman and the Coen Bros to Sharknado 5.

there’s no there there—not much of one anyway.

It sounds exactly like the kind of movie that you stumble across on cable and start rolling your eyes at, shaking your head, but then it's 45 minutes later and you realize you haven't changed the channel

How about enough of Jennifer Lopez?

The "bunch of money" was 86 cents. Richard Grieco was holding out for 88 and a tuna sandwich, so they went with Ziering instead.

In October.

And in the novels Fleming specifically noted which brands Bond used, so you can argue that they're being faithful to the books by showing what stuff Bond uses!

There's also a strange homoerotic undertone going on. There's a part where Bond is knocked out in battle, wearing his tux. When he wakes up he's in Sanchez's house in bed, wearing pyjamas. So…who undressed him? :p

I agree with this. Personally I'd put For your eyes only instead of Live and let die as an essential Moore movie. Its grounded and non-silly, you could easily put Connery, Craig, or Dalton in it and it would work just as well, with minor tweaking (Maybe drop the part where Bond gets vital information from a parrot).

It is interesting that both DAD and Skyfall have similar beginnings - Bond fails on a mission and goes missing for months. Of course when he comes back they go in…different directions.

No I didn't forget! If there was any justice Dunkirk would be up there with them, but Spiderman is already at $265 million, even with great word of mouth I can't see Dunkirk getting that far.

craziest thing the industrialized world has ever witnessed

Why is this on the AV Club?

OMG u guys I heard in Infinity War Groot and Dr.Strange team up while Iron Man and Starlord fight Thanos using Captain America's shield!

Oh so THAT'S how Jean Dujardin won.
