I agree. Considering all the crimes against humanity that’s shown/implied in the game from so many characters, demanding rape be taboo doesn’t make sense given Corneo’s characterization.

I am trans and I just want to say that you are spot on — there’s nothing wrong in general with how the crossdressing was handled in FF7. At worst there might be some moments that need the wording tweaked slightly.

Let me tell you why there’s nothing wrong with the cross dressing scene:

1. Opinion.

Nobody needs to get all defensive about every joke anyone makes about anything.

There’s a long history of gender-bending humor in human civilization. Thousands of years worth, in fact. FF7 didn’t do anything with that that could be construed as particularly insulting to anybody but pimps and their goons, who are both the villains and the joke’s punchline in this case.
