Despite owning an Xbox 360 since launch I never even attempted to get into this series. Literally haven’t played a single Gears game. This interests me after hearing how much people love it.

Don’t get why this censorship actually exists. Steam seem perfectly content hosting games like The Witcher which aren’t censored but contain virtually the same sort of content. I can understand them censoring games that feature people who are or appear to be children participating in sexual acts but this just strikes…
The headline we didn’t go with: “How I Accidentally Said ‘Bukakke’ To A Stranger In GTA V.”
Anytime there is a banned word list the developers are playing cat and mouse with the users. Nobody can every get every combination of every word removed, and your article proves it. You spelled bukakke differently than the list and it went through. Either the developer has to deal with an ever expanding list of…
I wonder whose job it is to create that list and how much fun they had with it. :P
Lookit that. No Sega.
Did you not notice Xbox and Playstation are banned words too?
Read the manga sometime ago, and watched the anime recently. I really dunno how a Ghibli version of Parasyte would work out, but Madhouse did it plenty well.
You really think linking cherry picked forums and urban dictionary represents a ‘universal’ definition? Also, where in that trek thread does it agree that the definition of Trekkie automatically means that the person must be into Rule 34 stuff?
Oh man, I wish there was more Gary Larson stuff online. I know that he has tried to avoid digital publishing because he's concerned about losing control of the material, but I'm worried that a great comic genius is losing relevancy due to this.
I am going to assume you are referring to Twilight as the “Mary-Sue” character of recent seasons, when she was ALWAYS the mary-sue character when it comes to climactic confrontations. They couldn’t very well toss Pinkie Pie or Rarity at some big villain.
That’s not true, I enjoy the show with my little sister and I enjoy the jokes and animation and lightheartedness of it. Season Five isn’t awful at all, Cutie Markless/Cutie Map was a really good premier. The rest remains to be seen but Bloom and Gloom and the Castle one were good too.
Didn’t know there was a dry-cut definition either way, and that like any other fan term it simply designates someone who enjoys the show. I mean if someone calls themselves a Trekkie, do you automatically assume that they’re into all of the slashfic that’s out there for Star Trek? In general, if someone calls themself…
I actually stopped watching the show a few years ago, but having enjoyed the first few seasons the term ‘fan’ would still apply to me. Regardless, the people who go out of their way to generalize MLP fans always seem more obsessed with clopping than the fans themselves.
It would be weird to see what Ghibli would do with Parasyte, especially because Parasyte is a very adult feature with lots of sex, gore and other adult themes, and it wouldn’t really fit into what Ghibli is known for. (‘cepting for GotF) From what I’ve seen of the Madhouse adaptation, I’m not really going for it…
Madhouse actually wrapped up production behind Parasyte late last month. It was a really faithful adaption of a fantastic manga. In fact, after watching it (and listening to its friggin’ amazing soundtrack daily), I don’t think Ghibli could have really done it in a way that I would have appreciated as much as Madhouse.
Darn. I want to see what Studio Ghibli would have made with Parasyte. But the recent anime of Parasyte was pretty well done too. I dislike the character design changes at first, but it grew on me.
Will be interesting to see how Ghibli disney-ise Parasyte :3
Children can’t love? It never implied a sexual love, so I don’t see how it’s projection.
