The lower headlamps and grille on this car ruin the design - the bonnet (hood) has to curve down too far to meet it and stops it from having a clean horizontal stylistic cue from front to back.
I’ve ordered one car, and it was a huge hassle. Dealers in the US are the ones with the instant gratification problem. They want you to remove a car from their lot that day rather than order you exactly what you want.
Because cleanliness.

A few thoughts:
There’s probably just a formula they plug the mileage into to figure out their prices.
I didn’t want to affect resale value so I can only drive it 200 yards before it overheats now (which isn’t a big deal because driving it without power steering sucks). Oh, and the windows are all stuck deep inside the doors. But it’s NUMBERS MATCHING.
Gives me hope that my numbers matching e46 wagon will get me a new house in a few years!
