Well if you want to count the A5 and A7 Sportbacks, then you’d have to also include the CLS from Mercedes and the 4- and 6-series Gran Coupes from BMW because they’re all technically sedans as well, so its a wash.

Thank you for sharing your perception, but judging by the amount of 3er sedans, wagons, GT’s, 4er coupes and GC’s I see around, looks like it may not be as redundant as you want it to be. Of course the big seller is the sedan, but there’s definitely a market for these variants.
