It's not a Jewish Mausoleum, though. It's a mausoleum at Hollywood Forever — an old Hollywood cemetery that happens to have a lot of Jewish "residents" mixed in with celebrities and the like. It's home to rock concerts and movie screenings in the summer, and people are ALWAYS taking fashion photoshoots there.

Except, as I noted in another comment, this isn't a Jewish Mausoleum — it's Hollywood Forever, an old LA cemetery where a lot of old Hollywood celebrities are buried and now hosts indie rock shows (Flaming Lips, Bon Iver have played there, to name a few), movie screenings and picnics in the summer, and has played host

No. That can totally happen. When I was a CNA, I was instructed to push the shit out of a patient. I massaged her stomach and that shit squirted onto the bed, onto my shoe, and onto the wall behind me. It was gross.

Yeah, the force built up in a human large intestine can be amazing, and this was in an abscess with nowhere for the gas to escape, so....BOOM!

Is it outrageous of me to think that 20% isn't enough? Why not 50%? Why not go the whole hog?

If this actually is the place, then this is important info that totally changes the tone of this post. Thanks.

Whats sickening is that he isn't saying these things as some lame financial cop out from rich guys...from the look in his eyes he seems to really believe this wildly out of touch bullshit.

"You know who would be happy to work for $2 an hour? Vulnerable adults who are easy to take advantage of, potentially have a pretty shitty living situation and are routinely looked over by society, and who's social programs are regularly cut causing them to lose their housing and end up on the streets. I would be

Well... time is kind of science-y and we all know how the GOP feels about science.

Yeah, I don't think he understands how apologies work. Or the reporter-politician relationship. It's not a favour to do interviews - it's literally part of your job as an elected official who's accountable to your constituents. And it's part of the reporter's job to ask you tough questions you might not want to answer.

"I expect a certain level of professionalism and respect..."

Christ on a cracker. Something I'm finally qualified to do.

I worry for this girl's safety every single time I read a story about her.

Aww. Thanks! It's just been kicking around in my head and I'm not sure how I want to format it. There are 14 books so it's a lot of material. Hopefully I'll get it done in a few weeks. If GT won't post it, I'll put it on my own blog.

It might help that sounds pretty awesome. Or if you write it before you have authorship, you can ask somebody to share it. If you hang out on GT, you should be able to pretty quickly pick up on how it works over there. And if you have questions, ask. We are pretty friendly over there (just don't bring up cake vs pie,

Yes, Music Therapy. If you visit any nursing home with dementia patients when they are having musical programs is it heart-lifting to see them participating when a song that they remember touches them.

Lalaurie is the evil white lady, Marie Leveau is the voodoo queen. Leveau made Lalaurie immortal through a potion, but I don't think the show ever made it obvious that Leveau's immortality was linked to Lalaurie's immortality. I also wasn't paying super close attention last night so maybe it was brought up and I just

It's been a while since I watched the first season, so I may be misrembering its pacing. I may have also just been more forgiving of it, because I'll eat up pretty much anything about haunted houses—it might be my favorite horror trope. And you're totally right that the writing has been a mix of good and batshit bad

UG me too. I think the pacing is just too fast for me to care about any of the characters beyond aesthetics. It seems like everything we are seeing is a 2 minute flashback to something that happened 30 minutes prior.
