1st gear:
• “I find the lefty types who are perpetually disappointed with the Democrats fairly irritating”

Is there a name for the phenomenon that allows for the dumbest among us to also be the loudest? If not, I propose “The Shilling Effect”.

Tell me more about how you have more of a right to decide what happens with someone else’s property than they do, comrade.

1st:

This is Erik Shilling. He thinks damaging private property is perfectly fine in a wide array of circumstances.

If we’ve learned anything from executive orders, they’re only as good as long as the current President is in office. With the stroke of a pen they can be undone. Want real change? Turn it into law.

He lives in NYC. They are a special kind of self-absorbed assholes. The world revolves around them, right?

It’s never acceptable to damage someone else’s property.

One guy telling people what to do is not how this country is supposed to work.

Don’t forget he also said:

Particular emphasis on this delusional, elitist statement: “Also, if you live in New York City and you are fortunate enough to own a car and you don’t want your bumper to get nicked then you are probably also fortunate enough to rent a garage space.” Garage spaces run up to $800/month in the central city. And car

He’s just plainly advocating for dictatorship and not even a little shy about it. It’s a shame those opinions are apparently endorsed by the editorial staff.

Every automaker is a hypocritical sack of shit

This is Shilling, after all. He’s not going to stop being an idiot.

“companies aren’t going to want to have two completely different products in the globalized market between EU and US cars”

I’m not sure how you cum to the conclusion that car companies are hypocritical sacks of shit. I assume it must be frustrating to work for G/O media, as it’s basically a hedge fund takeover, but that doesn’t translate to every company everywhere. There is a reason GM doesn’t make popcorn and that’s because they’d not

I’d argue that it’s somewhat ambitious. 2030 isn’t that far away and EVs are what, 2% of current sales. Plus 80% of those sales are Tesla.

For crying out loud, Shilling is on one today and it’s much dumber than usual. “Just tell the automakers to start making EV’s Joe!” I’ve heard the interns at our office say “I can’t even” and now I fully understand the meaning.

The title says 2050 but the article says 2030.  By 2030 isn’t “weak ass-shit,” it’s realistic. Moreover, it’s completely fair for PHEVs to count towards that goal as they can do 90% of driving in EV mode for most drivers, which gets more out of our limited battery supply.
