It’s really strange to me how people equate size with value. Of course, it’s the same thing with “super-sizing” a fast food meal — it’s all about total profit margin for a slightly larger product.

What fuckin wagon? I want to agree with you but they’re even more gone than the minivans. The cheapest new one in my area is a 52k A4 allroad.

If VW is doing so well, can they bring us back the golf and sportwagen? Maybe the id3? And give those cars physical climate controls? You know, all these things they are doing supposedly because they can’t afford to?

Remember the Bowling Green Massacre!

The ID.4 can be had under $30k with tax credits. At that price, it’s a steal.

What wagon? Now that the VW Sportwagen is gone the cheapest real wagon sold in the USA is the Volvo V60 priced from $41,000.

Not sure on the economic side of your theory, but certainly on the supply side. They definitely don’t produce high numbers and/or pull back when there’s constraints. SUVs & trucks would get priority for sure.

Could it be that mini-vans are already made in lower quantities compared to other body styles (especially SUVs), combined with prices rising across the board meaning a mini-van - even fully loaded - is now the only large passenger hauler within financial reach of people that would normally purchase a large SUV with

I like both wagons and minivans a lot, but they are different machines that serve different purposes.

Uhhh, so what wagon seats 7, costs ~$40k, gets 25mpg combined or more, and comes with a factory warranty? None? Besides the additional space & comfort, this is exactly why there is a solid place for minivans.

That’s just where it happened to break down.

My favorite example was a Black and Decker corded drill, in camo.

No kidding, shout out to ductile steel. Absolutely saved that cooler. And the truck and driver also.

Wait... Sorry... Sorry... I thought that this was a Torch article.

He’s actually a conservationist and volunteers as a deer crossing guard at night.

camo is a cultural identifier.

I’m sick and tired of all the anti-Tesla articles on this so called ‘website’. Elon Musk is a god amongst men, and you should bow down... Wait... Sorry... Sorry... I thought that this was a Torch article. Carry on.

“Edit: please do not actually drive your burning car into a gas station.”

I’ve always sorta figured that if my car was on fire, a gas station might be the safest place to stop. After all, those awnings are just chock full of nope-foam set to drench anything that acts like it wants to burn the place down.

Don’t Forget that hero U Shaped post in front of the pump stopping further carnage
