Have you ever seen what an ambulance can cost? If I’m conscious and not in imminent mortal danger, I’d just get a ride to the hospital from someone else.

So he didn’t think it through and is now backtracking his statements.

It’s not “now”. This kind of extortion has been going on for decades. Sometimes the cheapest/best thing to do is to pay the ransom. That’s the business model. It’s new to you, apparently. The point is to pick your targets so they don’t really have a choice. If you’re sitting at home, it’s easy to say just don’t pay

Yes, I realize they didn’t drain the pipes, that’s why it was just a fun fact

it’s not like they run the pipe dry and have to wait 2 weeks for it to fill up again... There was fuel in the pipe all along, just not being pumped.

The only reason this accomplished anything is because people are extraordinarily stupid. It would have been just a couple days’ delay on fuel shipments, but a million braindead hillbillies ran out and hoarded all the gas away, despite being told over and over again that any disruption would be resolved in a few days.

NC here...already back to normal. Every station has gas now...somehow I managed to survive 3 days without filling-up my tank!

Fun fact, the fuel in the pipes run at 5mph and it was reported to take 2 weeks to transverse the full pipeline

Waaait, didn’t Colonial say they shutdown their network and control systems as a ‘precaution’? That was clearly a lie then, it looks like they got pwned after all. I don’t care if the hackers are “robin hoods”, why would anyone trust them with a tool they wrote to restore their network? Backdoors much?

Once they received the payment, the hackers provided the operator with a decrypting tool to restore its disabled computer network. The tool was so slow that the company continued using its own backups to help restore the system, one of the people familiar with the company’s efforts said.”

Seriously! They don’t need a compact or another 200. They need crossovers, on the double. I simply cannot believe how long someone (whoever that is) has been asleep at the switch for getting a crossover in the Chrysler lineup. I’ve been pounding away at this point for years.

No fucking way.

I hate how accurate this is

Psst, they’re already driving semis next to you. They just can’t cross state lines with them.

  • A compact crossover

They can vote. They can be sent to prison for the rest of their life. They can serve in a War for fucks sake.

I understand Chrysler, but you are going to have to explain yourself on Dodge. The Challenger and Charger are still selling like crazy. I’m sure they are working on a new generation but what would be the point in releasing it while sales are still sky high on the old platform?

Ten years? That’s enough time for Chrysler and co to change ownership at least twice.

While people under 21 can get their CDL in 49 states, they can’t cross state lines under federal law until they are 21.

Chrysler no, Dodge, I think they have a path.  They need to refresh a lot of their product line, but they have proven they can make a desirable product, they just need to keep it fresh (although they apparently have learned how to keep existing product selling long after the tooling was paid for as well)
