I’m pretty sure the reason that everyone is doing that to their wagons is because of aerodynamics, not because of the styling. If anything, it’s detrimental to the styling of the vehicle.

This car is the Juke RS Nismo, not the Juke R 2.0 that has the GT-R underpinnings. They really need to change their names to make it less confusing.
I think they probably are, but uprights on F1 cars break at lower speeds, so there is less force. The weight of the wheels may also be a factor. They still probably should be strengthened, however.
