I assumed it was because that one illustration of Rhaegar everyone uses in their GoT videos (the one also used for his wiki page) looks like Channing Tatum with long, tied-back white hair, so that’s what we all pictured.

Plus, Beric has some kind of purpose to serve, right? That’s why the Lord of Light keeps bringing him back? I assumed that he’ll end up dying doing whatever he’s supposed to be doing, like several characters on Lost or something to that effect. (I know his fate’s way different in the books.)
