This site continually reminds of how old I am every fucking day.
Yeah, assuming a match is 10 minutes (which seems optimistic, from what I remember for overwatch) that’s nearly 17 hours of playing just to get out of what’s being sold as “the tutorial”.
I’d look at that and go play a game that I can finish in that timeframe instead, though I admit that I basically have no patience…
I’m just going to put this out there, Square are not a good publisher. They really cannibalise their studios and have unrealistic performance expectations. They really don’t support their teams and with the exception of a handful of games they don’t seem to care about properties.
Just some information to put context behind this story; I was never actually SWATed, but I did go through a 7 year campaign of stalking and harassment over criticism of a Kickstarter scam game, Shroud of the Avatar, which included SWAT threats, 3 days before the fatal SWATing in Wichita, which lead to Reddit having to…

You don’t think it’s more the “I can’t stand the microtransaction-riddled wasteland” bias? Those people aren’t aren’t avoiding games like Fallout 76 or mobile gaming because they’re too ‘hardcore’, it’s more that the games as a service model is so abhorrent to some people.
Nice catch Blanco Niño, too bad your ass got saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacked
Thicker skin? How about simply treating your fellow humans with some gods damned respect.
As was stated in the article you didn’t read, yes.
you sometimes get the sense that people approach games as if one lone game or franchise has an obligation to provide 90% of their happiness and/or self worth
Can somebody explain why people’s attitude has changed from wanting shitty companies to fail, to wanting individuals to resign? I can’t help but feel we’re in a weird time where people hate capitalism and the people that thrive under it whilst still wanting to consume all that it produces.
