I thought this after Tennant but I learned to really like Matt Smith. But this time around, the newcomer is going to have to be AMAZING for me to be happy.

Hated this episode. Hate this season. Just go already, Capaldi. Just leave us. I never liked your super charisma or amazing voice or incredible presence at all. Just because you’re the embodiment of everything I ever wanted in The Doctor means nothing. Just go... (Sobs into hands.)
The most heart-breaking thing I found was that THIS, the crazed professor, is what the Peter Capaldi version of the Doctor should have been from the beginning. We wasted two seasons getting here, and now only have one season with this perfect actor in this perfect incarnation of the character. Sigh....
I do believe Jack hinted with Doctor #10 that they had “enjoyed each other’s company” at some point... so would that make the Doctor himself the first out LGBT character on Doctor Who?
Disagree. I live in Seattle. That would be one of the least weird or notable personalities living here.
Sure. Makes sense. You’d think a writer would have chosen his words more carefully. And considering how much Capaldi’s Doctor changed personality and tone, I’m not sure he did such a good job.
Which way? That other people’s scripts were so bad, or that maybe Moffat should have left the other bastard’s scripts alone and we might have had better episodes. Imagine being a writer who had worked with him and realized he had changed a lot of your stuff.
Time After Time... loved the movie. But, you know, HG Wells finds out his buddy is Jack the Ripper and travels through time to the future to stop him. Why didn’t he just travel back a day and tell the police he suspected his friend was Jack the Ripper? No need for a series.
Lovely alliteration in the article title, Katharine. Well done. :)
Or Tarzan. Or Dracula. Or Robin Hood. The list goes on...
Ha. That’s so true. Except for BrotherFromAnotherMother. :)
:) you think he’s playing the coy, “I’m not sure what to do....” but inside hollering: “I want to stay! I want to stay!”?
Huh? I thought most people didn’t like Capaldi. So happy to see he has other supporters. I think with the right material, he could be just incredible. I think we’ve seen snippets of it. I’d love to see him go for another 4 or 5 years personally. But I thought the BBC were jettisoning him for someone younger to sell…
