The Doom novels were fine for their time, at least until the third book when shit got real weird and they went into outer space and then ended up getting sucked into a computer through their noses and had to split their consciousness and leave half in the computer to fight demons eternally and the other halves escaped

As a straight white male, I find it's hard to get through my day without going out of my way to be offended by things on behalf of minorities, those with differently aligned sexuality, or other genders. Thanks a lot, Kotaku, for adding yet another trigger to my day. That's really what I needed was to another excuse to

I have never been so repulsed by a game's content that I wasn't able to play it. They are GAMES. I'd play a game as Hitler curbstomping kittens if they managed to couch that insanity in some riveting gameplay and a great story.

Man, I had this on PS1, and it was AWESOME. Not because of the game either, although that was decent enough for the time.

Having invested quite a few hours into the alpha this past weekend, I can't say I'm surprised. I couldn't reconcile the game I played on Saturday to anything coming out in just two months.

What exactly was your list based on? "Games I liked but I don't feel get enough recognition"? Seriously. No one cares what you like. It's the Internet.

If you played Sonic 1-3 (including S&K in that) when they were new, or at least before Sonic Adventure came out, and appreciated them for what they were, which is rock solid platformers with interesting worlds and fun bosses (and in S3's case, great music, thanks MJ), then you've probably just been shaking your head

tl;dr

1. I was clearly being sarcastic.

fahey PLZ

I don't know about the rest of the month, but I'm playing Evolve all weekend. Hooray for alpha.

Wow, it's almost like it's okay when feminists insist that they speak for all women.

Isn't it pretty much that?

You know how you don't grill a burger until it's down to coals, because that's when the heat is most intense?

The rest of the Internet wishes to apologize to Baltimore and to assert once more that is not our fault, we never asked for this. Thanks.

Meh, the ones in Richmond, VA have been doing this for at least 3 years.

Stephen King wrote a really good short story about teleportation. Basically you had to do it while unconscious, otherwise your 'spirit' or 'psyche' or whatever would basically spend several eternities trying to find your body again or something and you'd die immediately or go insane when coming out the other end.

Did you even read the article? It's pretty much all about how the reason Netflix is big is because it throws concepts like 'per title' and 'per day' out the door, giving you a huge window to play with (a month), and a huge selection to do whatever you want with during that time.

A dollar a day for old games is not reasonable. As was pointed out in the article, many or all of these games can be bought NEW for cheaper than a 30 day rental period.

Jesus CHRIST.
