It’s a bit misleading to say this. Only two games on the list are marked as Unsupported (Granblue Fantasy Relink, and Starfield) and in both cases it seems like the reason is that they don’t support the Steam Deck’s screen resolutions out of the box or something, because they both run fine.

Relink isn’t just unverified, it’s explicitly marked by Valve as unsupported, even though it actually runs fine.

Honestly I vastly prefer this kind of trailer to the sort of bullshit that most Japanese studios put out, which is just a random jumble of disconnected voice lines which may or may not even match the random jumble of disconnected quick-fire clips from cutscenes etc. I find those incredibly frustrating since they don’t

Aerith... What on earth is going on there...

The big difference though is that Xenoblade didn’t have fucking Chadley calling you up on skype on your phone to say something insufferably inane every time you do anything in the open world, triggering an unskippable cutscene and taking away control from you.

Just give it to us as a HD-2D title and don’t fuck up the font this time. If they want to go beyond that, should go all-in on the pixel art IMO. The writing lets it down, but look at Sea of Stars’ visual presentation for inspiration, that game is absolutely gorgeous, that’s more the direction I would want a Chrono

It does not stand to reason at all. If you can play the same games anywhere then what is it that drives people to the platform in the first place? If you no longer have that differentiation point, why would people stick with your platform if your competitors *do* offer that.

Yes that’s exactly my point, it’s not about capturing new audiences it’s about holding onto and farming the wallets of the audience they already have, and the bank accounts of publishers that also want to farm those wallets.

EGS is a slightly different issue though because they are competing for market against an entrenched incumbent in Steam, and their approach of doing it with exclusives is a quick crutch to patch over the fact they’ve been trying to compete against that entrenched opponent with a product that is vastly less

I honestly doubt we’ll hear much from him on the FF7 remakes that’s newly composed. The FF7 soundtrack already exists and is iconic, plus there’s perfectly capable people at Squenix who can do tons of rearrangements of his work. He shouldn’t really need to contribute anything new, there’s a huge body of work there to

But does it have the Triple Triad music? Because if not I can’t see how it possibly could be better.

There wasn’t much new IP released in 2023 in the AAA space at all. Starfield might have been the biggest? It sold decently enough despite being mediocre, but whether it sold enough to be “successful” is another question.

This.

Baldur’s Gate 3's multiplayer is anything but tacked-on though. It’s a core feature that integrates seamlessly with the game because it was always a party-based game to begin with. BG1 and BG2 had the same design.

Forbes calculated how much wealth Smaug the dragon in the Hobbit was sitting on, according to the Peter Jackson films. $54b.

Part of the problem IMO is that they had made the MCU. The Star Wars sequels were largely trying to apply the same MCU-style blockbuster movie format to Star Wars, and it doesn’t really work because Star Wars was never about superheroes, even though that’s kind of what they ended up trying to make. IMO especially JJ

Yes? That was the point - Playable Zelda is much harder than just adding a Link gender option, and the people who asking for the ability to play as a female character in a Legend of Zelda game would likely be satisfied without them needing to do the hard option.

what went wrong?”

Okay sure but I shouldn’t need to buy new furniture to work around Sony’s crap design work.

You clearly don’t know how retention bonuses work. These go to the employee contingent on them staying at the company post-acquisition. Anyone that leaves forfeits it, as does anyone that is fired.
