Actually, the casing of that motor is supposed to stop errant blades from escaping.  Knew someone who worked for P&W blowing up motors.  Got to see a video of a failed test.  Sure, in that test it failed, almost like this one.  The loose blade didn’t immediately get ejected, it rolled around inside the housing a few

It’s Indiana... they’ve been wallowing in racist whiteness forever. Seems to be a big lack of white dentists there too for some reason. My experience every time I’ve been there as a white person is to avoid all the white people.  Not some of the white people, ALL of them. Pretty much same goes for Mississippi too.

It notes that the NYPD/FBI forced him to remain silent by threatening him with ‘alcohol trafficking’. They haven’t released the whole letter, just some of the claims, but any claims in it can be used to cross reference known evidence already on file. And the Manhattan DA had already re-opened the case... who knows

Same here.  It’s also extremely accurate which is kind of spooky.  Learned to trust it after I picked up a screw and the patch leaked slowly.  Only issue so far has been during this pandemic, I don’t drive long distances much.  Took a trip during a cold snap recently and the tires actually started to warm up which set

A friend said to me years ago that his father’s go-to saying about Ford trucks was that the most powerful thing on a Ford truck are their headlights. Still true today.

And putting controls I might want to mess with frequently in sub menus on that screen. Why the hell is bass and treble buried in a menu? When those were on a knob on the dash I could feel around and find them with one hand while I kept my eyes on the road.

There’s probably a menu or sub-menu setting to turn that off.  I have a GTI and on Day 1 of ownership, went to back out and it turned on.  I parked it, found how to change it via Google and it hasn’t been turned back on since.

My thought as well... it’s not like you can just get one drop shipped from Amazon... well, maybe you can but I’m not looking that shit up.  Who knows what other garbage that’ll pull up when it’s stuck in your search history.

I would argue that the biggest concern with leaving your car running while you refuel is theft.  That’s a bigger concern if your kids are still in the car.  Thieves are gonna thief.  I always remove the keys from the ignition and put them in my pocket whenever I exit the vehicle at a gas station.  My wife can complain

Ugh... if that thing is anything like the Liberty I had it is not comfortable for long drives.

As noted by a few people, sure, a proper solder joint is probably better long term... but for those hard to reach areas or any place that’s tight, these are pretty fantastic. ESPECIALLY if you have to work overhead or be directly under the work area.

I broke the sending unit in an 86 Blazer that loved sucking fuel. So I ran out a couple of times, once I got lucky and just coasted into the station in neutral... another time I had to walk about 3 miles in the middle of nowhere.

My 2015 GTI tells me exactly which bulb is out. My 2002 TDI on the other hand would just tell you a bulb was out. Not sure how the current system works, but the 2002 system ran low voltage through the lines at all times, not enough to light the bulbs, but enough so the computer could tell when one was out. Figured out

It’s just a green vehicle to help you move your gold bullion. The gas powered one costs north of $250k.  I’m honestly excited that if they move into production of these, once they have their first accident with the hydrogen they’ll be a job opening for someone with my skills.

That’s not a consumer car, that’s ‘my off shore bank account is bigger than your off shore bank account’ transport there. The original Boot you can purchase today for the low low price of $258,750, price as shown is $287,500.

Shoot, (pun intended) I just remembered the absolutely most scary driving experience and it falls much closer to your story. My band was heading to a gig down in the DC area about 6 months after the 9/11 attacks. I’m asleep in the back seats and someone let a drummer navigate. Nice guy, but we were just about to learn

Nice, my parents were from Brooklyn, so once I got my permit, my dad would make me drive there and back.  Fast forward a bunch of years, I was the go to navigator for the band whenever we hit the City.  My friend eventually went so far as pulling over before we got there and making me ride shotgun with the maps and

No minefields, but it was the late 80's, I was 16 and just got my license. My father has the brilliant idea that it’s my turn to go pick up my grandmother from Brooklyn, NY and drive her to our house in CT. It’ll be easy he says, then rattles off a bunch of directions that I feverishly write down.

As noted below, or attempting to get that mini van to pass the German TUV testing.

Thank you!
