I think the fact that the residents of DC don’t have representation in our government when that was one of the main issues cited in creating our new government is the ironic part.

Taxation without representation is one of the reasons we revolted against England, made our own government and all that fun stuff...D.C. Residents have no Congressional representatives. So the people who have to live in the same place our national government works, have no representation in said government. Ironic.
