Everyone spends more time on covers, and he lacks detail? Are we talking about the same artist?

Everything Evan said in that last paragraph is spot on - Johns in the New52 era has been pretty medicore but his Action Comics run with Gary Frank was great comics. I'm also a huge JRJR fan - he's probably my favorite Spider-Man artist - and while it's a shame to see him leave Marvel, I'll assume this is a

Yeah, great issue, great book.

but on the other, I hated how "Xtreeeeeeeeeme!" everything had to be. "Colossus is GAY!" "So EDGY." "And he's in love with Wolverine because they're both made of metal!"

It seems like a lot of people don't understand what's being done with the Ultimate line. Never mind the people who automatically equate relaunches with reboots/New52-esque stories - something Marvel has not done in this era outside of "Brand New Day" and even that wasn't really all that dramatic in hindsight - but

Considering Brian Wood's relationship with Marvel, I wouldn't be surprised to see him either continue/relaunch that series at Marvel or start a new series in a similar vein.

There's a big difference between Spider-Man 3 (a bunch of unconnected villains for no reason other than LOOK IT'S VENOM) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (setting up the Sinister Six). Suggesting that one bad (awful, terrible) movie means multiple villains can't work is silly. Not to mention Webb's working with a MUCH

In an era where there are so many brilliant Batman comics being made - Snyder & Capullo's Batman, the new Black & White series, Morrison's recently completed run, the weekly digital stuff - dedicating an article to this fan fic that gets some really basic stuff wrong is... questionable.

Such a great book, such silly censorship. Also, the first issue is now free on Comixology.

I'd say no, the two aren't related. Not that Hickman isn't a team player, but I can't imagine the spine of what is really his flagship Marvel book being built on someone else's event book.

So was Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (assuming you're implying that "Solid" in the title is some kind of clue, inless you're correcting a typo I missed?).

It looks like the next phase of Infinity will answer that to some degree (whether it's the next issue of NA or Infinity). I tend to lean towards it being a larger threat that will carry on past Infinity, and right now it's just an added complication to make the situation on Earth even more challenging, but I could be

A few things:

I was a fan of Bendis' era, but Marvel NOW Avengers books are across-the-board great. There's definitely a lot of them, but they're all so different and being executed so well that it's hard to criticize the decision to expand the line so much.

I was more referring to the fact that they've spoiled their own reveals (Angela, Xavier's death, IM3 spoilers, etc) with everything from USA Today articles to AR videos and toys and whatever, and far too frequently they're not even doing it on purpose. There's no reason Thane should have been first seen via a leaked

Infinity is great so far. I've read and loved every issue of Hickman's Avengers books, so that helps. He writes a great Captain America and has made the Inhumans a thing I actually care about (though that goes back to his F4/FF run). Also need to give the nod to Jason Aaron's Thanos series; it really did an amazing

Given your obvious devotion to the original material, it's kinda hard for you to see To's art even remotely objectively, don't you think? To say it looks like "a hundred other American comics" is silly. Just because it's lacking in giant eyes doesn't make it "standard."

I understand if established fans can't accept a new take, but this is objectively great stuff.

I'm completely unfamiliar with Cyborg 009 but Marcus To is a fantastic artist. His pre-new52 run on Red Robin really defined that character for me, and he's done some great work on The Flash and a Huntress miniseries since then. DC is insane to not have him on something full time (then again, at this point maybe it's
