Except no. Animals in Europe like deer and boar doing well are not a good thing because they’re destroying other habitats. It’s a problem because humans wiped out other animals through overhunting and deliberate extermination that would keep those species in check.

But it's not that simple. Colonialism in Africa is the driving reason for the bulk of the continent's struggles today, including the environment. I don't think you can easily extract global overpopulation and call it a day without pointing the reasons for it and every other contributing factor. 

Royal family should give back what they stole from Africa before blaming population growth for climate change there.

Nah it’s 100% straight-up racist; how much of that pressure on Africa’s wildlife and wild spaces is the result not of modern “overpopulation” but the cumulative effect of Europeans ravaging the continent’s mineral wealth, game, and natural resources for centuries?

Oh he’s not wrong. He’s merely ignoring the bejeweled elephant in the room who is sitting on a throne and living in wealth that was literally funded by racism, colonialism, and the slave trade of those very countries he's criticizing. 

I’d rather go after large corporations that ravage poor countries of their natural resources, avoid paying taxes, and throw a couple million dollars at empty PR campaigns and corporate “socal responsibility” than poor people who live in poverty and hunger and cannot substantively effect change on an individual level.

For all it’s flaws Dawson Leery is a way more relatable character than like...any male character in a teen drama since. Like even in show he’s constantly proven not to be right and to be childish and like he’s forced to consider it even though he does get a happy ending...its not with romance.

There is one lady on TikTok who does “What I eat in a day as a fat person who is not on a diet.” But it’s not as popular as the skinny chick ones. I am finally putting it together that watching people eating is very much a fetish.

This is a disproportionately heterosexual thing, tho-it plays into existing straight dynamics around cheating, power, and relationship dynamics. Not that such things don’t also exist in LGBT spaces, just that they’re a lot less common. It’s the modern version of “Please, take my wife!”
