A younger me would have thought the same, and I still personally find the use of any mind-altering substances (be it cigarettes, alcohol, cannabis or other drugs) unsavoury, but I’ve learned to live and let live.

It also greatly depends on what is used. Strains with a lot of THC (what actually gets you high) have little medical value, but those rich in CBD can be very useful, and they can have a negligible THC content. I believe there are also ways of ingesting concentrates of CBD.
