So I got it running eventually. Then it turns it there's no client for linux so it was all a waste of time anyway. My HTPC is linux, server is ox. :/

plex was even more unintuitive last time I tried. I juSt tried it now. I cant even have it find my media on the hdd. It's complicated with XBMC but impossible with Plex. At least for me :/
