bunch of useless features. I guess that's why they changed to a $29 model so they can release every year and charge for small crap. Where's the new filesystem? Some features I actually care about?

now how about a decent file system? Also, I think they really butchered virtual desktops. It was a pain to get it nice and workable.
I used Opera for 10 years. too bad they never were able to render a lot of pages correctly (or pages didn't try to render correctly for opera, but hey, when you've got a small marketshare *you* are the one who has to adapt).
The article you linked "How to network, even if you hate networking" has a dead link to the original article. This may be the original article, but i'm not sure: [voices.yahoo.com]
I read that this release is supposed to fix the addon issues people have been having and that addons are assume to work hence forth.
Considering shelfreliance products have a 30 year shelf-life, I don't think they're a good image for the example :) People don't generally buy it for bulk price either, but rather for food storage in the event of a natural disaster or what not.

Then I recommend trying out the split-screen mode in iTerm.
nothing I do either honestly. However, with tmux, xmouse reporting was a big deal. It was less of an issue when using screen. I had other issues with Terminal too, but I've forgotten what they were at this point. It's been awhile.

I used centerIM for many many years but eventually switched to finch (pidgin's console client). The reason being that centerIM was sometimes slow with updates whereas finch was quick with patches.
you're probably not a heavy console user. Terminal is a really poor terminal emulator. It misses loads of modern features such as xmouse reporting and 256 colors. 16 colors is sooo last decade :)
The number was higher than 55% (more like 70%) IIRC according to Emotions Revealed by Ekman: [www.amazon.com]
I always liked Dane. He runs a good ship
