On one hand Horror D&D is my wheelhouse, so at first glance this feels like a book based on a things I’m already doing and already good at, but it’s still pretty appealing since it expands on the types of horror with each domain. Something the official writer up on WotC’s sight doesn’t really expand on. I’m very

That description sounds like a lamer version of a Borderlands description, which itself always comes across as a lamer version of a Mad Max description.

Infinity Train is such a an amazing show. Very glad to hear there will be another season.

It was probably done because it was cheaper. I mean who would make that choice if they were given infinite budget?

This has been the biggest thing hampering my excitement for Singulair Point. It's not the redesign in general, but the art style and animation. It looks like a cardboard cut out.

I found the first episode a struggle to get through and stopped halfway through the second episode. It’s not painfully unfunny, there's one or two good bits, but so much of the humor is cringe. Felt like cheap Family Guy style jokes most of the time. Tudyk does the best he can with the material, but his character is

All episodes of Season 4 were released all at once on Amazon Prime on Dec 13th 2019. It was widely assumed that the series would be released this way with future instalments Amazon after it left Syfy. This was likely the case until it was suddenly announced as a weekly release for season 5 (though the first 3

I really wish they recast Cas Anvar. Seriously start the episode with a new actor piloting the Razorback, have Bobbie call him Alex and just go from there. The pacing, editing, reshoots, digital trickery and everything else was so very obvious to get that creep Anvar out of the show. It dragged me out of the

I’m trying to remain hopeful, but Jet Jaguar (and to a degree the other kaiju, though it seems only Radon is shown) look like paper cutouts in a world that is supposed to have depth and weight. Something about the different animation and framerate on the kaiju compared to the traditional characters in the foreground is

I wouldn’t put it on the “best” list as it has a lot of shortcomings, but it sure as hell finds its way into my favorites too. It also has one of my all time favorite human characters from the franchise: Yoshimura (portrayed by the great Akira Takarada), the cunning bank robber who becomes the de facto leader once

Oh for sure. This is why when I realistically try to gauge the quality of something like Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (aka Godzilla vs the Sea Monster) I actually have quite a bit of trouble. It’s not... great, but it’s the first movie with Jun Fukuda at the helm and I can’t lie, I love the “shipwreck on an island

Correct. It’s actually for legal reasons you can only find the different cut in the Criterion Showa set under the “supplementary material” category. It cannot be streamed because Criterion does not have the license for it. Most of the time in streaming and marathons (like on TMC) you’ll notice they skip over this

While I don’t rank the original King Kong vs Godzilla the lowest across the franchise, since you tend to have things like G98, the anime trilogy and a few others even from the Showa era that outright awful, I still rank it fairly low. I rarely revisit this movie with each pass through the franchise over the years.

I thought the performances this episode were particularly great too.

Hard to imagine it’s just going to be titled Matrix. Feels like a place holder image using a slightly modified old logo. Then again maybe Lana is just trying to be really subversive,.

I became a teen in the 90s when Cannonball graduated to the X-Men, and everyone on the team was being kind of dismissive of him which lead to a lot of frustration that I could identify with at that age. Cannonball always resonated with me, because he had to constantly prove himself, most notably by cratering

Cannonball, like many others here, has already been a mainstay member of the X-Men.... and New Mutants, X-Force, several other X-branded teams and a couple Avengers teams too. I’m not sure you can really count him as 3rd string by any stretch of the imagination at this point.

Looks like the Super X from Godzilla Returns (aka Godzilla 1985)

They show something that looks more like MechaGodzilla in the trailer very briefly.

Life long Godzilla fan for over 30 years here. Please stop spouting this ignorance. The human characters make or break these movies. It has been this way since the 1954 and will continue to do so for decades to come.
