I wasn’t very interested in the first place and after reading through all the spoilers sounds like the turned Taskmaster, one of my favorite villains and the only real reason I’d sit through the movie, into another throwaway adversary who has no future in MCU.

Absolutely gorgeous film. I’m blown away by the production design every time, but yeah that script. Snoozeville.

I already told my players they work for Fish Daddy up there in the header rather than their regular patron (a retired adventurer still hoping to do good in the world, but whose hands have become tied running a small city).

As someone with a unending hatred for roaches, but a deep love for everything Guillermo del Toro does I’m always at extreme odds watching this movie. I have watched it more than once though. Actually probably more than Crimson Peak though. That one is like popping a handful of valium.

The rogue planet failed its stealth check. Roll for initiative, Earth.

I think there are a couple issues at play here. First I’d like to believe Toho is trying to experiment with their characters to keep them fresh. It’s the only way I can explain the lack of consistency between something like Shin Godzilla and then the anime trilogy, which while I agree was a mess, at least had some

Not particularly. The game drags on for a long time and you’re mostly repeating the same tasks in slightly rearranged areas. The terrifying xenomorph becomes more of a nuisance you’re tired of dealing with by the time you’ve done the same kind of door puzzle for the 30th time.

I feel like there’s been a bait and switch with both that Matrix 4 headline and the accompanying tweet.

I love Jet Jaguar, but he looks off there. Something about the perspective of the shot makes it look like the human character in the foreground is looking up at a cardboard cut out of JJ.

What I really want to know is how many helicopter crashes will be in this one. Bonus points if everyone just casually walks away from the crash unscathed.

Reminds me of one of my favorite likes from Ghostbusters We came, we saw, we.... got these little wires snagged on something on the sidewalk.

Venkman, shorten your stream! I don’t want my face burned off!

Sure, it’s about character popularity, but Peter Parker doesn’t exactly invite Eddie Brock to live with him and teach classes at a school he started. The X-Men are like “yes guy named APOCALYPSE, whose attempted to end the world (and succeeded in several time lines), come hang out on our living island.... yes, a

I mean outside of being stand-ins for oppressed groups the X-Men’s other main schtick is inviting people who attempted to kill them to live with them.
Rogue
Mystique
Emma Frost
Juggernaut
Magneto
Danger
Apocalypse
The list goes on. Outside of being a mutant the best way to get on an X-team is to try to murder an X-team.

The Godzilla anime leaked a bit early yesterday before the announcement and almost all of the Godzilla fandom thought it was fake on twitter/reddit. Very curious to see what they do with such a large, varied cast. And if it doesn’t work the best part about Godzilla is you always get more chances to do something

Funny I was just randomly thinking of The Swarm a few days ago and started laughing to myself. So wildly cheesy.

Yeah. Interest in the franchise was all but annihilated by the sequels. Seemingly over night too. The online game limped along for 5 years or so, but users dwindled to almost nothing by the end of the aughts.

December 2021 still seems too soon for M4trix and a weird release date for it altogether. At least I can take solace that with or without covid19 it will still probably have naturally socially distanced showings - and I say that as someone who unabashedly loves the other Matrix sequels, The fanbase is not exactly

Honestly? Ease of use. As you pointed out - he’s “one dimensional.” Not exactly the same kind of pathos as Two-Face or Mr. Freeze and a much lower costume/make-up budget (assuming he will be clothed and not covered in scars for a majority of his appearance.) The Zsasz character is just easy to throw into a storyline

It would seem people are only angry because it’s specifically the T2 Edward Furlong incarnation of the character. Terminator: Genesys, which was an all around terrible movie, featured John Connor (this time portrayed by Jason Clarke) not only being killed, but transformed into that film’s primary villain via nan0tech v
