Final Fantasy VIII remake....

As a hardcore fan of the original film I admittedly don’t hate the 2016 film despite it’s flaws. I too feel it boiled down to a poor choice of director and the wrong direction to take the franchise. I’m also saying that having enjoyed his other team ups with Melissa McCarthy.

As someone who was young in the 90s and collected comics/trading cards/toys and thus was the prime demo for a merchandise pushing character like Venom - I can’t imagine this being at all interesting outside of like... special insert cards in a trading card set. Like the ones that made a mural splash page in the 3x3

But Rey is Anakin.... dum dum dummmmm!

Well in the previous trailer Stark takes the suit away and Peter goes back to the homemade suit with the idea that if he stops Vulture like that he’ll earn the fancy spider-suit back and prove himself.

Were these shots taken exclusively for Vanity Fair and someone got clever during that shoot or are they indicative of what actually appears in the film?

Never played the game or really care to, but what I do know is Tom Rothman shouldn’t be the head of anything.

The best parts of him praising “Genisys” was just how hollow it was when he was doing it. He gave no fucks. He was just doing the polite Hollywood thing.

Sure, but there was about a million and one ways they could have isolated Ripley that didn’t require killing every principle character from the previous film. That’s just horrible plotting.

The concept to Alien 3 has always intrigued and excited me. A lone woman, stranded on an all-male prison planet populated by convicted murderers and rapists who are trying to repent by forming a peaceful religious order - all pitted against one of the most horrifying creatures in cinematic history while they have no

She’s basically the reincarnation of Anakin anyway. It just remains to be seen if that stays figurative or becomes literal.

Specifically the director’s cut of Dark City which gets rid of all the over-explaining narration that ruins the movie int he theatrical cut.

It’s lines like this that make me continue to question why actors like Kevin Sorbo and Dean Cain appear in this show. It leans so hard left and all those guys do is bitch about “liberal Hollywood”.

Lack of nostalgia for the property? That was one of the main driving forces behind the property in the states. It’s a very specific film that focus on American teens rather than something like Pacific Rim that did well in China which featured a multinational cast in a more generic “giant robots vs giant monsters’ fare

That’d actually be kind of an amazing spin off.

This made me laugh way, way harder than it should have.

Honestly Luke Cage is probably the only Marvel Netflix show I’ll keep watching and just ask a friend which episodes of Daredevil have a good fight scene. Really didn’t care for any of the other shows. Skipped Iron Fist and not sure I’ll bother with Defenders - though it’s my understanding that Defenders will have

I’d be excited for Cannonball since he’s one of my favorite character, but I’m sure he will play a major role like Bishop in Days of Future Past or Madrox or Juggernaut in The Last Stand. Or Cyclops in anything. Which is to say I’ll be impressed if he even uses his powers on screen if they’re even the correct ones.

Scott will always be a legendary filmmaker, but the last 10 - 12 years of his work has been pretty bad actually. The Martian was really good, but I sat through The Counselor, Robin Hood, Prometheus and American Gangster. The parts that weren’t boring, were pretty bad. I didn’t even bother with Exodus: Gods and Kings.

In short it’s called “studio interference”.
