It’s not about the story, which across most of the 7 films is purposefully pretty bland so that the franchise lends itself to inclusion. These movies are basically wish fulfillment vehicles. Phil Lord and Chris Miller wrote a script for it, but Disney hired them to direct the Han Solo prequel film. I’m not sure if WB is even using their Flash script anymore.
