Less hookers though. Unless they explore that with Lois Lane and Wonder Woman in the next one.

All the movies I own with him in it he seems like the most delightful human being on all the features and commentary. I’d see it just to support him, but the whole digitally colorized recreated background bit seems a little overdone. Maybe it won’t be as intrusive as it sounds.

Maybe it’s a more uhh... cerebral nemesis at school than the Thompson character? Google is saying Revolori 5' 6" and that Holland is 5' 8". I mean they can always cheat with cameras a la Tom Cruise movies.

I had to go downpost for more context. I forgot Mae Whitman was in this and wasn’t even aware she’d been recast. That’s kinda shitty. Thankfully I have zero interest in this movie.

Unfortunately he already abandoned that as a director, though on the (possible, depending on your views on his work) plus side he gave it to Robert Rodriguez to direct. I believe Cameron is staying on as producer.

There were so many great things about Godzilla 2014... and then there was that guy.

There’s one scene where it really does look like a second creature

And 10 times more political and military deliberation.... which is actually par for the course of a Japanese Godzilla movie. They boiled that all down to just Ken Watanabe in the 2014 one.

The odd design choice of going with that hilariously large tail aside this looks like the original Gojira design meets the Heisei era designs.

The movies need more Kang!

Similar discussion in another thread about how subtle is too subtle a teaser. Go too far you give everything. Don’t got far enough you don’t garner interest. I think by now Marvel is trying to sell movies a la Star Wars. Disney owns these properties because they know they’re selling a name. People see the Marvel name

Technically Sony rather than Fox, but if they did that I’d be first in line.

I also think the time travel aspect of the narrative is pretty dead at this point too. It’s definitely lost its spark seeing as it was mainly implemented because filming a really low budget movie in 1983 for a 1984 release means you could skip the whole “producing expensive future-themed sets” issue. So Salvation

Salvation would have been great because they started to move in the direction of “Maybe John Connor might not actually be that important” and it raised a lot of questions about the mutability of time whereas the other movies sequels basically say, “fuck you, time in immutable because nostalgia! reasons!”. And when you

Likewise. Time to put this franchise to rest. The first two are some of my favorite movies ever made, but they are extremely dated in terms of narrative and science fiction elements. What worked 30 years ago as “cutting edge” has lost a lot of traction. Not to mention the narrative is fairly simplistic seeing as the

I’m biased here since I’m a lifelong Godzilla fan, but out of the 30 or so movies I always felt Kong was one of the most boring opponents there was. Especially after Godzilla 2 in 2018 which will supposedly feature Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah? Kong would be a huge downgrade after that.

I thought that was from a Journey album cover

This is actually better than a lot of the recent Marvel movies. I still have nightmares from the proportions of the supposedly human people depicted on the Winter Soldier character posters

It’s technically a prequel to 2014 Godzilla I think. The idea was to have the group searching for Kong be the Monarch organization that was established in that movies timeline. This is to coincidence with the proposed (and unnecessary) Godzilla vs King Kong movie.

Finally a Goblin Glider. I’m one step closer to my dream of being a manic depressive, megalomaniac super villain with unsound business strategies!
