Boo. Those movie are concentrated stupid, but Woody Harrelson is pure awesome. I’m conflicted., but I don't think he can cancer out the awful.

Actually what impresses me most is the ability to churn these out so quickly. Sure the writing is bad and the special effects aren’t top grade, but they’re able to produce a film of this scale in the same time frame it takes to make a Sharknado movie... think about that.

Despite being a relatively cheesy shoot-em-up movie - that scene where he’s literally digging up his past, or as another Keanu character would have said “Guns. Lot’s of guns.” - actually had a lot of thematic and visual weight to it. It’s amazing what good cinematography and even a smidgen of decent writing can do for

Darth Vader instant NO button? Darth Vader instant NO button.

Honestly this kids a lot more talented than a lot of other teenyboppers Disney cranks out. Can’t pick a script for shit though.

The best was the director of the movie seemed to really enjoy the skit too. Jokingly saying on twitter “That’s exactly how it happened”.

This is why I will miss this show the most. Key & Peele and the other writers they work with really knew how to diversify their humor. Mixing all types of humor across many genres - a lot of them nerdy and esoteric. The D&D and vampire skits to this day still make me laugh to the point of tears. Peele’s reactions in

Planet Hulk is basically John Carter of Mars but with even more CGI since Banner is the Hulk the whole time. So it’s never going to happen. Ever. That’s the joke.

Yeah. Right after Disney makes John Carter 2..... so never.

Oddly enough I thought for the Max character he spoke way too much. I was like “Why are we Beyond Thunderdome-ing this? We don’t need story time!” in what is otherwise an expert remake of the movie where the Max character only spoke a handful of times - and at least half those lines are about gasoline.

Hopefully by that time Disney has F4 rights back and it’s the Surfer that shows up with Hulk and Strange: and we get the real Defenders

Oddly enough my dream cast for the Marvel villain Taskmaster would be Matt Damon in which case he’d square off against Hawkeye.

I was actually under the impression that this is what they’d be doing. Bourne Legacy had its issues, but was enjoyable enough. Also had a horrific ending that basically baits the shit out of a sequel instead of coming up with an actual resolution.

Every damn time. ...

But “well-educated” could mean drastically different things because of context. “Old-timey” has a very clear context in this situation regarding film making and film history. It’s a definitive term in its field. Anyone who studies film will know exactly what is meant because they’re well-educated... in that field.

Except this is expressly related to movie making and history in which the term old-timey has a definitive time period of 1950 and prior. Different terms have different meanings in different fields. So... it means precisely one thing in this area of discussion.

You do realize the whole of Ep VII is based around people’s inability to let go, right?
