That’s actually pretty smart. No sure how the rights will work by then since I was under the impression that the rights would return to James Cameron in 2018, but he’s busy with Avatar, so maybe he will let things keep going the way they are.

I lie all the time. Honestly whatever gets a social interaction to end as fast or smoothly as possible.

I just learned, like last year, that Catholics and Christians are different things...

It’s funny - I had a feeling that from the opening statement of “look how fucking smart I am!” that this totally had to be written by or based on the work of Stephen King - and sure as shit when I looked it up, there it was! I’ve never seen someone churn out so much useless drivel and somehow have such an ego about

Uhh... haven’t TV shows have pretty much always had showrunners? The way network TV works is you have a bunch of writers and a bunch of directors on each episode and you need someone to bridge the info gaps between all those people. There’d be no way to tell a cohesive story on network tv otherwise so the position

Because he’s not a very good writer in the first place and gets paid a lot of money so that he doesn’t have to care about artistic integrity? I mean - he could be another Alan Moore I suppose - where he just hates on all of the adaptations of his work ad nauseum - but King is just gonna take the paycheck and move on.

All wrapped up in a very, very depressing version of Quantum Leap.

Late 80s, early 90s anime no less.

It shocks me that no one actually got the point of Idiocracy and immediately jump on the eugenics message that’s not really there. This comic is dismissive of the actual point - which would be that the “smart” people made just as dumb a choice as the “Stupid” people in that intro - one group showed way too much

Still have 3 slots I don’t use and a character I could delete at moments notice, so there’s no incentive for me to preorder, but it’s at least something of a kickback for players who won’t get the entirely free copy of the standard game. In general ArenaNet handled this extremely poorly from the outset

It was more complicated than that actually, but it can come off that way. ArenaNet explained the pricing very poorly to the community. The pre orders were all described as bundles that included GW2 standard game. They wanted a pre order with just the expansion. However the “bundles” were just $50 expansion + a totally

Man, I forgot how stupid perfect the Inception trailer was... mostly because every movie that’s come out since then has basically been the Inception trailer, but tailored to whatever movie it is... even if the Inception formula makes absolutely no sense for it.

Valid point.

Winston was awesome though. I always felt despite not getting the limelight (like on the posters/merchandise) he is within the framework of the movie itself really helps ground the audience as the supernatural elements of movie escalate.

I give it 2:1 odds of being destroyed again in either 2016 Toho Godzilla or 2018 American Godzilla. 5:1 odds in Pacific Rim 2. The kaiju seemed more preoccupied with China in that one.

Jared is the best character. His endless enthusiasm, optimism and naivete makes him the real world version of Butters from South Park. His speech to Erlich was a truly uplifting moment in a show where everyone tends to tear down everyone else.

I actually quite enjoy the second and third films. I think they have way, way more to say than the first Matrix. They have some great reflections the art of story telling, philosophical concepts and visuals mediums as well.

The Matrix movies are fantastically written and have a lot to say of philosophy, the human condition and the problem of “choice”... they’re also horribly produced and directed.

I’m a huge fan of MH. I’ve been playing since closed beta. Bought the advance packs, have every hero at level 60 yadda yadda. However a really, really big draw for me in the game is the X-Men. Not that I don’t love most of the other heroes, but my priority is always X-Men.

I’m sorry what is that article about again?
