I’m gonna laugh like hell when in 2032 we get electric rationing, and if you’re got an even numbered plate, you’re only allowed to charge on Tues and Thurs, and so on...
It’s all about the number of people. If you might be routinely hauling 4+ people, then yes, minivan beats those awkward 3 row suv’s every time.
So.. according to this article.. France should spend millions to prepare to clear ash from a Tonga explosion. Umm.. yeah.
You mean 30-50% markups.
You aren’t factoring in the dealer markups. Say new Kia Sportage, nice equipped price was $38k. The markup on top of that was $16k. A $42k Telluride had a dealer markup of $22k.
The irony is that this is also as CA is pushing for denser urban housing. Which for new building it’s fine, you can legistlate charging capability.. except, that hasn’t been done. CA needs to get it’s act together, including upgrading the power grid with more nuke/solar/wind power.
That’s in a lot better state than say here in LA. Parking is just asphalt and paint.. :D
That’s great in the next 30 years maybe.. or in high-income work spaces. But who’s gonna do that in the barrio?
That just won’t happen with a lot of the current appts, especially in carports where it’s not practical or possible, especially in low income areas. Shared parking is the core problem here, where there’s also plenty of option for abuse (stealing from your neighbor’s charger.. etc).
Yep. It’s gonna be ugly. INB4 people get shot during arguments over chargers.
The close-up mode for the Pro model will be a big change. Otherwise it is incremental.
And yet CA is going to outlaw ICE. Your Nissan Leaf is gonna cost $60k when that hits.
Waiting to see the stories about the 80 unit apartment complexes that get 2 chargers for all the units to share.
No one will be rolling in those blackouts...
The problem isn’t auto manufacturing, the problem is infrastructure. You are going to have millions of people that don’t have reliable access to EV charge. Plus the power grid. We’re in a mega drought which is impacting the electric supply, and we’re going to force everyone to charging vehicles? What could go…
So the person is terrible because they are rich? Maybe research a bit first?
Why does he look like a young Peyton Manning now? (made of play-dough).
That is irresponsible doing that next to the neighbor’s fence with gaps in the slats for added idiocy.
There are still other risk factors here, but you could use this in non-load-bearing uses where concrete is still used (planters, K-rails, etc). I’d also like to see how this version responds to heat.
